PRODUCT & SOLUTIONS

Overview:

Based on the latest WiMAX standard, IEEE 802.16e-2005, the CARC WiMAX solution combines fully IP high-speed data with true mobility. Because it offers superior wireless broadband performance for fixed as well as nomadic and mobile applications, it delivers on the promise of universal WiMAX.

The standard-based CARC WiMAX solution will interoperate with terminals from a wide variety of vendors, providing a mass-market means to untethered broadband data, VoIP and video. And, since WiMAX is strongly supported by the IT industry, this will boost the availability of mass-market terminals and multimedia end-user applications, such as gaming and video. The CARC WiMAX solution enables service providers to address markets that were previously not economically addressable through traditional mobile/wireless or wireline solutions. It is available in the 2.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz, and 3.5 GHz licensed bands.

Features:

Full, end-to-end IP flat architecture which can be integrated into fixed and mobile networks: CARC has the ability to support network re-engineering towards an all-IP network architecture.
Supports integration into IMS architecture: Provides VoIP with managed QoS, seamless inter-working with different access networks (DSL, Wi-Fi, 2G/3G, and WiMAX, for example) and rapid service creation for multimedia applications.
Integration of AAS: Results in a 40% reduction in the number of sites and a 40% increase in throughput per cell.
An IEEE 802.16e-2005 mobile WiMAX-based solution: Allows operators to invest in a more future-proof solution as compared to offers based on IEEE 802.16 2004.
Plug-and-play: Self-configuring solution that can be easily deployed, configured and managed from an operation center.
OPEX and CAPEX savings: Compact outdoor base station (35 liters) makes for savings in terms of site acquisition and rental.
