CARC participates in India Telecom 2010
New Delhi, December 9th 2010 - CARC showcases range of Wireless products and solutions at
India Telecom 2010
Today, at the India Telecom show, CARC demonstrated its end to end WiMAX solution which was integrated with C-DOT's GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) and NGN (Next Generation Network) solutions. CARC also showcased its wide range of other Wireless products and solutions.

CDOT (Centre for Development of Telematics) is telecom technology development Centre promoted by the Indian Government. It was established in 1984 with initial mandate of designing and developing digital exchanges. Today, C-DOT has expanded to include expertise in other areas of Telecom with offices in Delhi and Bangalore.

CARC end-to-end WiMAX solution showcased in Convergence India 2010
New Delhi, March 23rd 2010 - CARC showcases range of Wireless products and solutions at
Convergence India
CARC along with C-DOT had a very strong presence at the Convergence India show held today at New Delhi. CARC showcased its complete end to end WiMAX solution. This solution was integrated with C-DOT's GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) and NGN (Next Generation Network) solutions. CARC also showcased its entire range of other Wireless products and solutions. The CARC's WiMAX solution in particular evoked a lot of interest.

CARC achieves CMMI Level 3 certification
Chennai, 28th October 2009 - CARC achieves CMMI level 3 Certification
CARC's quality policy has always been focused on delivering high quality, secure and reliable products, services and solutions. CARC is looking at innovative ways to anticipate and fully meet the highest expectations of its customers. As a true testament of this, CARC today has received CMMI Level 3 certification. The CMMI audit was conducted by KPMG.

CARC release WiMAX CPE Release 3.0
Chennai, 11th May 2009 - CARC WiMAX CPES- Release R3.0
Today, CARC released the WiMAX CPE Release R 3.0. Amongst others, several features such as the unique Best BS selection, Upgrade manager and Support for TR069 remote management were the key highlights of this release which will be released to all of our global customers. This release also marks the end of separate software releases across CARC products.

WiMAX Forum NWG award for CARC
Chennai, 16th February 2009 - CARC wins WiMAX Forum NWG group award
CARC has also been an active member of the WiMAX Forum. Today, members of CARC's Certification team were awarded by the WiMAX Forum for their significant contribution towards the release 1 and Release 1.5 specifications.

CARC CPEs awarded WiMAX Forum Wave II certification
Malaga October 20, 2008 - CARC's range of WiMAX products achieve WiMAX Forum Wave 2
Certification.
These were awarded the WiMAX Forum Certified Seal of Approval (titled MP05) for the 2.5 GHz profile on the conclusion of the extensive testing carried out in the WiMAX Forum's certification testing laboratory in Malaga, Spain. The Wave 2 certification focuses on support of MIMO capabilities. The rigorous tests included functionality as well as interoperability amongst vendor equipment and MIMO capabilities. This achievement of being designated as WIMAX Forum Certified ensures confidence in the interoperability of WiMAX products which is a key WiMAX Forum objective.

WiMAX POC with BSNL in Tamil Nadu
October 17th 2008 - BSNL trial includes CARC Outdoor CPE
BSNL launched a trial in Priyapalam for rural broadband services. Infrastructure vendor Alcatel-Lucent teamed with CARC to demonstrate their end-to-end WiMAX solution. CARC's Outdoor CPEs stood out for their superior performance - RF performance and range being the highlights.

CARC launches MIMO and Outdoor variants of WiMAX CPEs
Chennai, August 10th, 2008 - CARC launched range of advanced WiMAX CPEs.
Today, CARC announced the launch of the advanced range of WiMAX CPEs - the 500 and 700 series that will support MIMO functionality. The 500 series cover the range of WiMAX Indoor CPE. These CPEs have been designed to provide enhanced throughput and extended coverage. The MIMO functionality enables the CPE to receive multiple signals simultaneously and thereby provide robust connectivity for end users. The 700 series cover the range of WiMAX Outdoor CPE with very high gain and is optimized for larger range and outdoor use. The robust design, superior RF performance and low cost of the product make it ideal to expand broadband and voice communications in both rural and urban markets.

Neuvatel launches WiMAX in Bolivia
La Paz, May 22nd 2008 - Nuevatel launches WiMAX
The Bolivian telecom operator Neuvatel added the provision of wireless broadband services via WiMAX to its portfolio of service offerings. The network is supplied by Alcatel-Lucent and Indoor CPEs were provided by CARC. Nuevatel will look to offer voice and data services to both residential and enterprise customers in the major urban centers of the cities of La Paz, El Alto, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba. They will be offering call-centre services as well.
About Nuevatel
Nuevatel provides voice and data services, including an array of services delivered via a short message service-based platform, to its customers in Bolivia over its GSM network. In addition to basic voice and data services, Nuevatel also offers international long distance termination and origination, as well as public telephony services.

CARC wins TEMA award
New Delhi, 17th May 2007 - CARC wins TEMA award
CARC bagged the award for Excellence in R&D at the first ever National Telecom Awards 2007. The award was conceptualized by TEMA (Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association), the national apex body recognized by the Government of India to represent telecom Technology Providers and stakeholders of the Telecom Fraternity in India. Amongst the other winners were NOKIA - for Excellence in Exports, Bharti - for Excellence in Manufacturing and Tejas Networks - for Excellence in Innovation.

CARC in India's first WiMAX trial with Aircel
Feb 15th 2007 - CARC participates in India's first WiMAX trial with Aircel.
Today, CARC successfully completed India's first live WiMAX Rev-E field trial using Aircel's licensed spectrum thus marking the readiness of WiMAX for commercial deployment. The trial was conducted using the 2.5GHz band and successfully demonstrated applications such as video streaming, high speed file downloads, Voice over IP (VoIP) and Web browsing while on the move.
